What do I need to bring to Costa Rica?

"9.8 out of 10 Stars. Our trip to your beautiful country was amazing! We had a clear view of Arenal erupting from our hotel
room each night in La Fortuna. Manuel Antonio was gorgeous, the tours were awesome, and I cannot say enough about
the customer service Gretchen provided. She was friendly, helpful and spoke from experience. Thank you for planning
such a wonderful vacation for us!!!!!!"

At Sabalo Lodge you will be able to study the wildlife of a primitive mangrove and rainforest from your hammock. Learn about the Sabalo Lodge neighbors, a small river population in a remote jungle oasis just off the grid. Sabalo Lodge is located in a delicate eco system that we are helping preserve. They are short on drinks with umbrellas, but long on providing small groups and individuals with a unique adventure that will stay in your heart forever, and the local beer is cold!
Sabalo Lodge is located in a unique area of the Osa Peninsula. They offer diverse environments and wildlife: lowland rainforest, river, mangroves, a mountainous jungle and are not far from one of the prettiest ocean beach’s on earth. Access to these various eco systems in one location and their limited capacity for guests allows Sabalo Lodge to offer you a wide variety of exclusive and unique tours. Imagine exploring the rain forests where you are the only tourist on the trail. No crowds of people allows you an intimate adventure with nature and a chance to encounter more wildlife. |
The Sabalo Lodge property has eight open acres of well trimmed lawn with fruit and palm trees offering plenty of shade and afternoon breezes in a serene and private setting. All Sabalo Lodge accommodations have been newly reconstructed and are an open air design of tropical hardwoods and screen giving you the closest experience to nature you can have. Guests enjoy the swimming hole in the stream that flows through the Sabalo Lodge property as well as the large rancho with hammocks after a day of activities.
Adjacent to the Sabalo Lodge property is ten acres of primary rainforest that Dan & Holly are helping preserve. Sabalo Lodge is also adjacent to the mangroves, another protected area here in the Osa Peninsula. Frequent visitors to the property include Scarlet Macaws, White-faced Capuchin Monkeys, Toucans and a wide variety of birds and other creatures of the forest.
Dan and Holly Pesta, your hosts, previously lived in Southern California and now live full time at Sabalo Lodge. All meals are included during your stay.
