Cahuita National Park Snorkeling & Hiking
Snorkeling Tour
You will visit the many unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Cahuita National Park. The Costa Rica Caribbean is one of the most beautiful regions of the country. The main attraction is a picture postcard reality of white sand beaches, thousands of swaying palm trees, a calm sea of crystal-clear water and a live coral reef. From the boat you will be able to appreciate 35 unique coral species such as: The fire coral, Elkhorn and the Smooth brain coral; 123 species of tropical fish such as: Queen Angelfish and Blue parrot fish; 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish, 128 identified algae. Other species such as: sea urchins, sea cucumber, lobsters, sponges, hawksbill turtle and green turtle. You will have the opportunity to snorkel for 2 to 3 hours, over different locations of the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica.
After the snorkelling, the Captain will take you to Cahuita Point. While there, you can swim in the peaceful and warm water of the Caribbean Sea while you enjoy refreshing tropical fruits.
Hiking Tour
This Caribbean tour also provides the option to enjoy the diversity of the forest on a hike in Cahuita National. The park is home to many species of flora and fauna, such as: Howler monkeys, White-faced monkey, Two-and Three-toed sloth, iguanas, spiders, Morpha butterflies, birds, snakes and much more. Cahuita National Park is comprised of a mixed forest with many species of trees and medicinal plants such as: Noni, (the wonder fruit, which prevents 89 different kinds of illnesses).
Your bilingual naturalist guide will lead your hike through the trails of the National Park, pointing out the abundant animals and medicinal plants, as well as explaining the interesting history of Cahuita Town.
Following the tour, you will enjoy a typical Costa Rica Casada for lunch.

Local Traditional Fishing
This Caribbean tour takes place in the surroundings of Cahuita National Park in a fiber glass boat equipped with 15 to 25 H.P outboard motor. Local fishermen will be your guides. It is also possible to enjoy Snorkeling while your guide captures live bait from around the reef.
Different fishing methods can be used:
- Fishing using live bait
- Fishing using dead bait or deep fishing
- Fishing using fishing pull and an artificial lure.
Species of fish that can be caught include:

Bri-Bri Indigenous Reserve
On this Caribbean tour, you will visit the Green Iguana farm and medicinal plant garden at the Kekoldi Native Reserve. A small indigenous family dedicates itself to the reproduction & protection of the Green Iguana. This species was on the way to extinction and thanks to initiatives like this family's, the iguanas are on the road to recovering. This Caribbean tour is provided by a local guide.
After the Kekoldi Nature Reserve tour you will continue to the Bri-Bri Indigenous Reserve. The tour begins in the community of Suretka, which is located on the shores of the Telire river. The town plays host to the local market of the reservation, and bananas, banana trees, cacao, oranges, coconuts, etc. are all traded here. After visiting these peaceful people, you will enjoy a fresh tropical fruits snack (watermelon, pineapple, mango, melon, maracuya, papaya, etc.) and water. Then you will visit the waterfall. This waterfall is considered by the natives to be sacred. While here, you will be able to refresh yourself in the clean water.
After the Waterfall you will visit the womens' group, ACOMUITA, and learn the manufacturing process Chocolate.
Finally a typical Costa Rica Casada will be served for lunch.

COMBO A : One Day Tour
Guests will be picked up from Cahuita and Puerto Viejo hotels at 06:30 am. Upon 8:30 am arrival at the Moin Harbour, we will board the boats and go towards Tortuguero National Park. Along the way, you will be able to
enjoy the magical nature and rainforests that will surround us on the way to the famous park.
We arrive in Tortuguero at approximately 11:30 – 12:00. First we will visit the town of Tortuguero including the Turtle Museum and local stores. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious lunch before we head back through the Tortuguero canals back to Moin and then onward back to your Southern Caribbean hotel.

Bocas del Toro Tour to Panama
“Bocas del Toro Islands” are located across the Costa Rican border in the Caribbean zone of Panama. This area is known for its great cultural and biological diversity, for the many islands and inlets found there, and for the great expanse of coral reef that surrounds them. Bocas del Toro is one of the few places in the world where you can snorkel almost every day of the year.
This Caribbean tour begins at 6 a.m. Transportation will take you to Sixaola (Costa Rican border) for migratory transaction and also to Guabito (Panamanian border). Upon completion, transportation will be provided to “Finca 60” or “Puerto Almirante” (depending on the weather conditions) to board a fast boat to Colon’s Island, where, another boat is waiting for you to take you on tour through the other nearby islands such as: Bastimento and Zapatilla National Parks. The guide will bring you to the areas best snorkeling location.
You will eat a delicious Caribbean lunch, in Coral Key’s restaurant. The restaurant is built in the water and you can also snorkel there as well.

This Wildlife Refuge is located on the Caribbean Coast near the Panamanian border, and is home to a large variety of flora and fauna. The Refuge's natural conditions make it an interesting destination for both scientists and nature lovers.
The forest is very diverse and colorful, playing host to many species of birds, mammals and other species of tropical animals.
