Hacienda Pozo Azul Horseback Riding
 Horses are our specialty, we have raised them for generation. And have selected for you, horses of certified good health, strong, and well trained. Hacienda Pozo Azul’s many internal trails and solitary back roads in the area are just what you would like for real adventure on a horse. We provide the ideal route and length of ride for you, trained guides with radio communication will provide a safer ride on this beautiful and wild scenery, for an unforgettable experience.
Rides include:
- Instructions on how to safely ride a horse
- Either 2 hr or half a day ride through our own trails combining pasture, jungle and rivers.
- Cold fresh fruits and water in a privileged spot.
- One bilingual guide which will enhance your experience
- At least one wrangler on every ride.
Minimum age: 6 years old
Less than 6 arrangements will be made.
Duration: Either 2 hours or 4 hours depending on requests.
Note: We can outfit horse rides and treks from a whole day to several days, please ask us.
Recommendations: Long pants, tennis shoes or boots, sun lotion, repellent rain coat and camera!

Pozo Azul Canopy Tour
 The exhilarating Costa Rican Invention of zipping through the tree top canopy in a beautiful jungle setting, with experienced guides and safety features you only find in Hacienda Pozo Azul.
Includes:
- Instructions and safety rules presentation.
- 12 zip lines and 15 platforms with extra safety features like the double cable and double pulley on each zip line, and railing on all platforms. Our tour complies with ICT and AOA regulations.
- Refreshments with fruits and water in the way.
- Ending with a 900 ft cable crossing the beautiful Sarapiquí River canyon.
Minimum age: 6 Years old
We offer the taxi service, where the passengers can be taxied by a guide.
Duration: One hour and a half to two hours (depending on the size of the group)
Recommendations: long pants, secure shoes, camera, binoculars, sun lotion, repellent and raincoat.

Rappelling
 Another Hacienda Pozo Azul adventure experience to remember forever! Descending with safety ropes and equipment a 90 feet wall on the Sarapiquí river canyon with a spectacular view of the confluence of the Sarapiquí and Pozo Azul Rivers.
Includes:
- Lesson of basics and safety instructions.
- Every rappel is assisted by two guides, one managing the safety line and a second one belaying the main line to assure 100% safety.
- For your first descend we offer a guide next to you doing coaching. (optional)
- You may repeat the rappel up to tree times.
- First class equipment and trained guides.
- Fruits and water
We also offer to do rappel on other locations of our Hacienda if requested such as free fall on a canopy platform.
Minimum age: 12 years old.

White Water Rafting Tour Class II and III
 This tour leaves at the Hacienda Facilities and runs 13 Km. Very safe with several accesses throughout the tour and constant communication with the base; it can be run year round.
Includes:
- Safety rules and instructions presentation at our private dock on the property.
- Energizing fresh local fruits by the river at a swimming spot
- A ride back for shower and changing
- Certified , experienced guides and Top of the line equipment
Minimun age: 9 years old
If younger we will run class II only

White Water Rafting Tour (Class IV rapids)
 An adventure for the experienced and the physically fit, with 12 class IV rapids in 11 Km, very exciting and technical.
Includes:
- Safety rules and instructions presentation
- 2 Hours of pure adrenaline, the most exciting white water rafting run ride in Costa Rica only for the experienced and fit.
- Certify class IV rapids guides.
- We require minimum 4 persons per ride, ridden from May 31 to December 31
- Transportation from Pozo Azul to the upper Sarapiquí River launching site
- Energizing fresh local fruits during the ride.
Need experience and good physical condition!

Hacienda Pozo Azul Floating Safari
 An early morning, guided 3 hours ride in rafts trough the beautiful and nature rich lower Sarapiquí and its tributaries from the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Stunning views and abundant fauna you will want to take with you... Get your cameras ready!

Cuculmeca Tent
Cuculmeca is a unique concept in lodging. Comfortable tents within a forest location, mounted on decks and covered with a protective canvas, tents are provided with 4 individual mattresses on the floor, and equipped with light bulbs and a sinks with running water.
Paths connect the 27 tents to two batteries of comfortable rest rooms and showers with hot water; and also to large multi-purpose decks, where you can relax on rocking chairs or hammocks, or hold group activities.
Ideal for the nature loving and adventurous visitors, Cuculmeca offers a true tropical forest experience. Magsasay Jungle Lodge
Magsasay Jungle lodge is Hacienda Pozo Azul’s 30 years old house at the old black pepper plantation located at the North entrance to the Braulio Carrillo National Park. It is located 12 Km on a 4x4 road from our home base in La Virgen.
The farm has now the largest reforestation project in the area and primary forest reserves under environmental services. Its strategic location makes it ideal for birding and walks in our many paths and trails.
Presently we offer this lodge for groups with special interest. Or for overnight stay for bike or horse tours.
The Lodge with 9 rooms can house a group of up to 36 guests
