Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Description: Santa Teresa is an offbeat, beach side village located on the southern most tip of the Nicoya Peninsula near Playa Carmen and Mal Pais. The village is famous for it's laid back surfer - rasta - hippie vibe. There is always something to do or a small party to be found in the quaint town along the main drive of ocean front road, which is surounded by a hillside lined with small surfer hotels and bungalows. The beach at Santa Teresa offers travelers excellent surfing right in front of the town center.
