The Nicoya Peninsula Protected Zone protects the headwater and natural spring systems of the rivers in the Southern Nicoya Peninsula.
The protected zone was established in 1994 and consists of 52,715 acres on the Nicoya Peninsula in the Puntarenas Province.
There are no public facilities at Nicoya Peninsula Protected zone. The climate is hot and dry, with the drier months being from December through April. |
