Costa Rica has an excellent health care system and you need not worry about health care while travelling in Costa Rica. We do recommend you bring the following so you won't have to go out of your way and spend time looking for these items:
- Any prescriptions you are taking and need. Be sure that your name is clearly typed on the bottle.
- 100% UV blocking sunglasses to protect your eyes from the strong sunlight on beaches
- Contact lenses and cleaning solutions
- Glasses – reading and prescription (I always pack an extra pair)
- Mini First aid kit
- Sun block
