Many Describe Manuel Antonio as being the crown jewel of Costa Rica. The port town of Quepos is duelly recognized as a South Pacific Sportfishing haven as well as home to the tourist favorite Manuel Antonio National Park. This park is the smallest Costa Rica national park yet one of the largest in terms of biodiversity. The park also boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery that can be found in this tropical paradise. |
The Location of Manuel Antonio is on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio is approximately a 3 hour drive from San Jose, 3 1/2 hours from La Fortuna (Arenal Volcano), 3 1/2 - 4 hours from Monteverde, 3 1/2 - 4 hours from Liberia and 5 hours from Tamarindo. Please keep in mind that all drive times are approximate and depend on road conditions, as well as Costa Rica driving experience.
The Climate of the Manuel Antonio area is on the warmer side. During the months of December through April, one can expect temperatures to reach a high in the low 90's and a low in the lower 70's with limited rainfall. During the months of May through November, one can expect temperatures to reach a high in the upper 80's and a low in the mid 70's with more prevalent rainfall. The rainfall in the Manuel Antonio area during this time of the year is generally limited to late afternoons and early evenings (though it can rain at any given time). View Current Conditions |
