Pacific Trade Winds S.A. offers two types of pricing, Full Service and Strictly Reservations. The differences are as follows:

Full Service Plan:

Professional Assistance & Support

• The convenience of professional travel advice & vacation coordination with unlimited toll free phone and e-mail planning assistance and reservations
• Accommodation, transportation and tour reservations and confirmations with traceable electronic transfer prepayments, 30 day reconfirmation, 14 day and 7 day reconfirmations for all reservations = Smooth Sailing.
• Representative greeting inside the airport for our escorted  VIP service through baggage claim and customs (SJO only)
• Travel assistance while in Costa Rica
• Emergency contact for family and friends
• We speak your language. All services available in fluent English at all times
• Full color e-brochure of your custom trip with photos and descriptions
• FREE Waterproof Travel Map shipped to your U.S. or Canada address in advance
• Credit card acceptance fee is waived with the Full Service plan.

Pacific Trade Winds S.A. is a full service travel provider, providing personalized, attentive service. We only utilize the best tour operators and transportation companies (all are ICT certified for safety standards, have  insurance, and provide overall superior experiences).  We perform a series of 4 reconfirmations of every aspect of your vacation prior to your vouchers being sent.  We take pride in our work  and provide outstanding customer service for a safe, stress free vacation. 

We do not have any hidden fees or surprises.   The average credit card acceptance fee in Costa Rica is 7 - 8%.  This is typically not brought up until you sign the authorization slip.   Our rates on average are at 6 - 10% and include the credit card acceptance fee as well as all of the services that we provide. 

When coupled with the fact that we offer toll free service and among the lowest transfer rates in Costa Rica (with one of the highest quality fleets), our service almost always completely pays for itself or results in a lower rate than you would end up paying direct.

When the Full Service Plan is applied, we will apply promotional rates and free nights when available. These offers are usually based on private contracts that our business has made with the providers. Individual cost breakdowns are strictly prohibited for this reason.

Strictly Reservations:

This plan is for those of you that have done your research and know exactly what you want on a day to day basis. If you choose Strictly Reservations, you must fill in your complete day by day itinerary including desired hotel names, tours & transportation in the Comments Box on our "Custom Vacation Form".

The plan includes:

• Email support (first 2 free, $5 per response after first 2)
• Direct phone call support (not Toll Free)
• Toll Free customer service at a rate of $1.50 per minute
• Toll Free reservations
• This plan is subject to a 5% credit card acceptance and filing fee.

This plan does not include:

• Reconfirmations
• Travel assistance
• Travel advice
• Toll free phone calls
• Emergency contact

In short, the Strictly Reservations plan is a safe way for you to make reservations with secure, traceable payment.
