"Guy and I arrived home yesterday from Costa Rica, and I wanted to write to thank you for making our trip run so smoothly. I heard references to things running on "Tico time" but all of our transfers and connections reminded me of traveling in Germany, where precision of arrival and departure times is a hallmark. Even though our plane required de-icing in Denver and arrival in San Jose was deplayed for about an hour, our guide and driver, Peter, was there waiting for us. He was quite personable and shared his extensive knowledge of Costa Rica's plants, culture, and economy with us, making the drive to Monte Verde pleasant despite the "massage" from the road...

Aventura Golden Guanacaste |
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Daniel O'Duber
International Airport in Liberia, you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A. representative. Private transportation will be provided to the Jardin del Eden, located in beautiful Tamarindo. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, private bath with hot water, mini-bar, telephone, safety box, radio clock, hair dryer, cable color TV and balcony or terrace with ocean view. During your stay, you will enjoy a standard room with Indonesian style theme. Continental breakfast is included daily. (Rental Car can be substituted for provided transportation. Inquire for details.) |

Day 2: Located at a 3 minute walk from beautiful beaches,
Jardin del Eden is a perfect launching point for a day of Fun in the Sun and exploration. This day will allow you to familiarize yourself with the Tamarindo area and the Sea as you prepare for the days of adventure to come. |

Day 3: Keep your head on a swivel as today you will soar through the tree tops of the Rainforest on your Canopy Zipline Adventure. The Canopy Zipline Tour is the most popular adventure
activity offered in the country. This particular course is considered by many to be among the most exciting and adventurous in the Guanacaste area. |

Day 4: Another chance to get back to the self-adventure you started earlier. This will give you the chance to explore the town, spend a day in paradise, and maybe have a cocktail at the many beach side restaurants and bars. Find your favorite location and settle in to watch an amazing sunset. |

Day 5: Transportation will be provided to the Hacienda Guachipelin Adventure Ranch, bordering the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. During your stay, you will enjoy a Superior Room with breath taking views, two double beds, and breakfast included daily. |

Day 6: Today, be a real "Sabaneros" Guanacaste cowboy! (or cowgirl) Live the experience of rounding up cattle and horses from the pasture to the corral. Hacienda Guachipelin is still a working cattle ranch. |
Day 7: Today you will go for the tri-fecta of Guanacaste experiences. Starting off with the Las Pailas, which is a unique attraction located inside the Rincon de la Vieja. This area contains boiling mud and water, very diverse vegetation and steam vents. After departing Las Pailas, you will continue your day on horseback to the Oropendola Waterfalls, which are 25 meters high, and cascade into an emerald green pool surrounding by a forest covered canyon.

The day finishes with a little relaxing for your skin and muscles as you enjoy nature's mysterious forces and healing energy at the Volcanic Mud Springs and Spa in the Simbiosis Spa located inside the Rincon de la Vieja. Here, the natural mud levels reach temperatures of 104 degrees F, 40 degrees C. |

Day 8: Transportation will be provided to the Hotel La Finisterra, located in the quaint sea-side village of Playa Hermosa (translated literally to "Beautiful Beach") During your stay, you will enjoy an Ocean View Room with breakfast included daily.
|

Day 9: Today features the All Day Palo Verde National Park Tour. You will experience a trip along the Tempisque and Bebedero Rivers that will take us to Palo Verde National Park. Mangroves abound. The park is favored by many migratory birds as they escape the cold winters in North and South America. At the same time, the area's density gives it a rich mix of mammal, amphibian and reptile life, including the famous crocodiles. An expert naturalist guide will explain all the facets of the park. At the end of your river trip, you'll stop at the river's edge to enjoy an included lunch. |
Day 10: A final chance to get back on the beach in front of the Pacific Sun and work on that tropical tan. This day will give you the opportunity to do what you want and make your own adventure! Whether relaxing on the beach beneath a palm tree with a refreshing beverage or choosing to add a tour on this free day, be sure to take advantage of this last whole day in Paradise! |

Day 11: Transportation will be provided to Daniel O'Duber
International Airport scheduled to arrive 3
hours prior to your departure.
