Lava and Cloud Forest Adventure - Tourist Class
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (Liberia International Airport can easily be arranged), you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A. representative. Private transportation will then be provided to Hotel La Fortuna, located in downtown La Fortuna. During your stay, you will enjoy a comfortably equipped room with a Queen size bed and a Single bed, A/C, Cable T.V. and Arenal Volcano view. This hotel is the newest addition to the heart of La Fortuna with all new amenities and is located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano. Breakfast is included daily.

Day 2: In the afternoon, you will go on an easy hike through the Rainforest, with a bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna. When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest observation point to Arenal Volcano. Being the third most active volcano in the world, Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes.
After approximately 45 minutes of viewing, you will visit the geo-thermally heated Baldi Hot Springs where you will be able to relax & bathe as Arenal erupts in the background.
Options: Add dinner for an additional $20 per person. Upgrade to Eco Termales Hot Springs or Tabacon Grand Thermal Spa for an additional $50 per person including dinner.

Day 3: You will soar through the tree tops of the Rainforest on your Canopy Zipline Adventure. This high flying, high speed canopy course consists of 15 cables and 18 platforms and a giant Tarzan swing!!! The canopy zipline is a one of a kind adrenaline packed tour which is Costa Rica's most popular adventure activity with thousands participating annually.

Day 4: Our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde. After crossing Arenal Lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano, you will be brought to Hotel Quetzal Inn, located in Monteverde. During your stay, you will enjoy a comfortably equipped room with balcony. Breakfast included daily.

Day 5: A bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on an easy hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Your guide will point out and describe many endangered species, as well as educate you on the importance of sustaining this vital reserve. At an average elevation of 1,400 meters, this forest is home to numerous species of wildlife, unique to this area.

Day 6: A bilingual naturalist guide will lead you through the canopy of the cloud forest via suspended bridges. This leisurely paced easy hike is a great way to explore the Canopy of the Cloud forest, which is home to a wide variety of endangered species.

Day 7: Private transportation will be provided to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive 3 hours prior to your departure.
