Discover Costa Rica - Tourist Class
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (Liberia International Airport can easily be arranged), you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A. representative. Private transportation will then be provided to Hotel La Fortuna, located in downtown La Fortuna. During your stay, you will enjoy a comfortably equipped room with a Queen size bed and a Single bed, A/C, Cable T.V. and Arenal Volcano view. This hotel is the newest addition to the heart of La Fortuna with all new amenities and is located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano. Breakfast is included daily.

Day 2: In the afternoon, you will go on an easy hike through the Rainforest, with a bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna. When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest observation point to Arenal Volcano. Being the third most active volcano in the world, Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes.
After approximately 45 minutes of viewing, you will visit the geo-thermally heated Baldi Hot Springs where you will be able to relax & bathe as Arenal erupts in the background. Dinner included.
Options: Upgrade to Tabacon Hot Springs or Eco Termales Hot Springs for an additional $50 per person including dinner.

Day 3: Today you will have your choice of 1 of the following options:
A) Professional bilingual guides will navigate you through Class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great adventure for beginners and experienced rafters alike. Lunch included.
B) You will go on a river boat ride down Rio Frio in the wild Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. A bilingual naturalist guide will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna that call this park home. This reserve is another important sanctuary for a wide variety of endangered species. Lunch included.

Day 4: Transportation will be provided to La Tropicale, which is a charming boutique style hotel specializing in personalized service located at Playa Carrillo. The hotel is located within walking distance to the beach and also offers a pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, lounge, and wireless internet, all of which are surrounded by tropical gardens. During your stay you will enjoy a bungalow equipped with Queen size bed, air conditioning, cable tv, and mini fridge.

Day 5: Today you will have your choice of 1 of the following options:
A) Today you will learn how to Stand Up Paddle Board on Playa Carrillo. Professional guides will teach you how to walk on water on a calm bay in front in a tropical setting. Stand up paddle boarding is a fun new sports and can be picked up within minutes of your lesson.
B) You will gon on a guided Snorkeling Tour to Isla Chora. You have your choice of boat or open top kayaks to the island. At the island we will stop to snorkel in an area known for many tropical fish and occasionally sea turtles.

Day 6: A final chance to get back on the beach in front of the Pacific Sun and work on that tropical tan. This day will give you the opportunity to do what you want and make your own adventure! Whether relaxing on the beach beneath a shady palm tree with a refreshing beverage, be sure to take advantage of this last whole day in Paradise!
Add a night time Sea Turtle Nesting Tour for an additional $50 per person.

Day 7: Transportation will be provided to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive 3 hours prior to your departure.
Alternative Airport Options:
A) Shuttle transfer is available to San Jose Airport (SJO) for no additional cost if your flight is after 3pm.
B) Private transfers are available for any flight time for an additional cost, please inquire for details.
C) We can provide an afternoon shuttle to the Holiday Inn Express Airport hotel on Day 6 and provide an airport shuttle on Day 7 for no additional charge. If you choose this option lunch and dinner will not be provided on Day 6.
D) You can add an additional night at an airport hotel. Contact us for options and pricing.
