Arenal and Offshore Sportfishing

Day 1:  Welcome to Costa Rica!  Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (Liberia International Airport can easily be arranged), you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A. representative. Private transportation will then be provided to the 4 Star Arenal Springs Resort located in La Fortuna.  This fun little tourist town is located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano.  During your stay, you will enjoy a Junior Suite equipped with king or queen size beds, A/C, cable TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, telephone, security box, hair dryer, and Terrace with an amazing view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 2: In the afternoon, you will go on an easy hike through the Rainforest, with a bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna.  When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest observation point to Arenal Volcano.  Being the third most active volcano in the world, Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes.

After approximately 45 minutes of viewing, you will visit the geo-thermally heated Baldi Hot Springs where you will be able to relax & bathe as Arenal erupts in the background.

Options: Add dinner for an additional $20 per person. Upgrade to Eco Termales Hot Springs or Tabacon Grand Thermal Spa for an additional $50 per person including dinner.

Day 3:  A full day of guided fishing on Lake Arenal. Your professional bilingual guide does this for a living and knows this lake inside and out! He will put you on some of the best Rainbow Bass that Lake Arenal has to offer. Your day will be spent on a comfortable bass boat with lunch included. To top it all off, Arenal Volcano will provide the ultimate background for all of the photos you bring back, to show off your tropical catch to your friends!

Day 4: Transportation will be provided to Byblos Resort & Casino located in Manuel Antonio. During your stay, you will enjoy a large Deluxe room. Rooms are equipped with 2 double beds, air conditioning, direct phone line, cable TV, safe box, a hair dryer, mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.  This tropical paradise is recognized world wide for its beautiful beaches and the abundant wildlife of the jungles that line them.

Day 5:  A Full Day of Offshore fishing including 28' Custom Sportfisher with 315 HP inboard Cummins, Tower with full controls, fighting chair, captain, mate, bait, tackle, lunch, beer and soft drinks.  You will be fishing for Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Snapper, Roosterfish & Wahoo just to name a few.

Day 6:  Enjoy a relaxing day on one of the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world.  Take a dip in the crystal clear blue waters of the South Pacific. Bask in the warm rays of the tropical sun, as you listen to the waves crashing and howler monkeys, (well howling) in the background.
