 Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria
International Airport, you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A.
representative. You will then be brought to the 4 Star Hotel Don Carlos, located in historic district of San Jose. Hotel Don Carlos is a small, but significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage. In years past this San Jose hotel was a residence for two past Presidential families. During your stay, you will enjoy a spacious, standard classic room, which is elegantly furnished and decorated, with one or two beds, cable TV, phone, private bathroom, safe deposit box, hair dryer, executive desk. Breakfast included daily.

 Day 2: Transportation will be provided to the Laguna Lodge located in Tortuguero. Along the way, you will be transported
by boat through the Tortuguero Canals. After lunch, you will
visit the small town of Tortuguero along with its museum and
beach. All rooms offer private bathroom, hot water, ceiling
fan, reading lamps, wooden bench outside your room to sit
and admire the gardens.

 Day 3: Start off the day with a sunrise on the Caribbean
Cruise through the Tortuguero Canals. Later, you will have
the option of going on a guided hike through Tortuguero National Park or
another river boat cruise through the canals. There is an
optional night tour to observe Green Turtles nesting (July
through September).

 Day 4: Transportation will be provided to the the 4 Star Arenal Springs Resort located in La Fortuna. This fun little tourist town is located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano. During your stay, you will enjoy a Junior Suite equipped with king or queen size beds, A/C, cable TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, telephone, security box, hair dryer, and Terrace with an amazing view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 3: Today you will have your choice of 1 of the following options:
A) Professional bilingual guides will lead you through
class I (less than) rapids on your Safari Float. This fun filled
adventure will provide plenty of memories and the feel of whitewater rafting without the rapids. Along the way, your guide will point out the abundant wildlife that inhabits
the river's edge.
B) You will go on a river boat ride down Rio Frio in the wild Caño Negro National Park. A bilingual naturalist guide will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna that call this park home. This reserve is another important sanctuary for a wide variety of endangered species. Lunch included.

Day 6: In the afternoon, you will go on an easy hike through the Rainforest, with a bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna. When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest observation point to Arenal Volcano. Being the third most active volcano in the world, Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes. After approximately 45 minutes of viewing, you will visit the geo-thermally heated Baldi Hot Springs where you will be able to relax & bathe as Arenal erupts in the background. Dinner included.
Options: Upgrade to The Springs Resort or Eco Termales Hot Springs for an additional $50 per person including dinner, or Tabacon Hot Springs for an additional $74 per person including dinner.
**Clients can substitute this tour for night entrance to The Springs Resort Hot Springs for no additional charge. Transportation and the Arenal Volcano Hike is not included, but can be arranged for an additional fee. Dinner is included at The Springs Resort.

arrive 3 hours prior to your departure.
