Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria
International Airport, you will be greeted by a Pacific Trade Winds S.A.
representative. You will then be brought to the 4 Star Hotel Don Carlos, located in historic district of San Jose. Hotel Don Carlos is a small, but significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage. In years past this San Jose hotel was a residence for two past Presidential families. During your stay, you will enjoy a spacious, standard classic room, which is elegantly furnished and decorated, with one or two beds, cable TV, phone, private bathroom, safe deposit box, hair dryer, executive desk. Breakfast included daily.

Day 2: Transportation will be provided to the All Inclusive Turtle Beach Lodge, located in Tortuguero. This Tortuguro lodge features comfortable beds, fans, cool tiled floors and two wide windows that let in gentle breezes from the jungle. During your stay, you will enjoy All Inclusive accommodations, including 3 meals daily and natural drinks. A bilingual naturalist guide will lead you tour from the city into the Braulio Carrillo National Park and through the agricultural versatility of the Limon lowlands, including pineapples, rice, cattle, a tour of a working banana plantation (closed Sundays and national holidays) and much more. In the afternoon, you will enjoy visiting Tortuguero village and a visit the National Park ($10 entrance fee not included). Turtle nests can often be found right on the property’s half mile of beach. The baby turtles hatch from July through early November.

Day 3: In the morning, a bilingual naturalist guides will lead you on a tour through Tortugueo Canals where you can see abundant flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park. In the afternoon, dress out in the jungle boots provided by TBL and explore the mysterious Tortuguero Jungle with your guide. Learn about the jungle flora and fauna as well as the animals that live in the tropical rain forest. (Optional Tour July - September: In the evening, you can enjoy a Guided Turtle Nesting Tour $30 per person additional if added)

Day 4: Transportation will be provided to the 4 Star Arenal Springs Resort & Spa located in La Fortuna. This fun little
tourist town is located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal
Volcano.
During your stay, you will enjoy a Junior Suite equipped with your choice of two queen beds or one king size bed, A / C, fan,
cable tv, phone, wireless internet, mini-bar, coffee maker, safe box,
oversized bathroom with volcanic rock surroundings, hair dryer, and front patio providing an outstanding view of
Arenal Volcano.

Day 5: Professional bilingual guides will lead you through
class I (less than) rapids on your Safari Float. This fun filled
adventure will provide plenty of memories and the feel of whitewater rafting without the rapids. Along the way, your guide will point out the abundant wildlife that inhabits
the river's edge.

Day 6: In the afternoon, you will go on an easy hike through the Rainforest, with a bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna. When you reach the clearing, you will be at the closest observation point to Arenal Volcano. Being the third most active volcano in the world, Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes. After approximately 45 minutes of viewing, you will visit the geo-thermally heated Baldi Hot Springs where you will be able to relax & bathe as Arenal erupts in the background.
Options: Add dinner for an additional $20 per person. Upgrade to Eco Termales Hot Springs or Tabacon Grand Thermal Spa for an additional $50 per person including dinner.

Day 7: Our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde. After crossing Arenal Lake which provides some of the best photo
ops of the imposing volcano, you will be brought to Hotel Heliconia. During your stay, you will enjoy a spacious Standard room constructed of native hardwoods and equipped with two double beds (alternate bed arrangements available), a spacious bathroom with large bath tub and shower, room safe, phone and most have a balcony. Breakfast included daily.

Day 8: A bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on an easy hike
through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Your guide will point
out and describe many endangered species, as well as educate you
on the importance of sustaining this vital reserve. At an average
elevation of 1,400 meters, this forest is home to numerous species
of wildlife, unique to this area.

Day 9: You will soar through the tree tops of the Cloud Forest on your canopy zipline adventure. This high flying, high speed canopy course
consists of 16 ziplines, 1 rappel and a giant tarzan swing!!! The canopy
zipline is a one of a kind adrenaline packed tour which is Costa Rica's
most popular adventure activity with thousands participating annually.
For those who enjoy a slower pace: A bilingual naturalist guide will lead
you on an easy hike through the canopy of the Cloud Forest via suspended bridges. Along the way he will point out the abundant
wildlife, flora & fauna.

Day 10. Transportation will be provided to The Falls Resort located in Manuel Antonio. This new resort offers a refreshing approach to luxury accommodations in Manuel Antonio. The resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and waterfalls, providing a serene environment and splendid views. During your stay, you will enjoy a standard Suite equipped with king size bed, full bath with large walk in shower, cable television with DVD, mini-bar, overhead fan, air conditioning, covered porch with sitting area and a hammock for relaxation.

Day 11: A bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a tour of discovery
through Manuel Antonio National Park. Along the way your guide will
point out the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna. This park plays a vital
role in the global environment as it is home to a wide variety of
endangered species.

Day 12: Today you will go on a Mangrove Riverboat Ride through the Damas Island Estuary. This is another delicate eco system which contains a wide variety of endangered species. Your bilingual naturalist guide will point out the abundant birds, reptiles & wildlife that inhabit the mangroves. This day of exploration includes a hearty meal.

Day 13: Enjoy a relaxing day on one of the most beautiful
tropical beaches in the world. Take a dip in the crystal clear
blue waters of the South Pacific. Bask in the warm rays of
the tropical sun, as you listen to the waves crashing and
howler monkeys, (well howling) in the background.

Day 14: Private transportation will be provided to
Juan Santamaria International Airport scheduled to
arrive 3 hours prior to your departure.
